Highlight Dances from Summer 2013

Our summer classes are less formal than the fall classes, and many dancers take it as an opportunity to bring in interesting dances to try.  Some of this summer's highlight dances include:

Beginners at the Barn (S8x32) 2C (4C set) Ruth Scodel
1-4          1st man and 2nd woman advance one step and retire one step on the diagonal
                and turn right hands to place
5-8           1st woman and 2nd man advance one step and retire one step on the diagonal
                 and turn right hands to place
9-16         1s and 2s Right hands across and left hands back
17-24       1s followed by 2s, lead down the middle & 2s lead back to the top
25-32        1s and 2s turn neighbour two hands for two bars,
                  then turn partner two hands for two bars,
                  open to circle (4 bars)
