-Lianne’s reel exercise (practice reels of 3 in lines of 3) (Quick time music)
-Reels in sets.  Practice “closing reels” in quick time and in strathspey time (Bars 25-32 of Monymusk).

25-32   1s dance reels of 3 on sides giving RSh to person on their Right & 1s cross RH to places

Strathspey Footwork
-Practice travelling step in promenade hold.
-Emphasis on rhythm.
-Setting. Make it smooth and clean.
-Transition between setting and travelling. 


Practice bars 9-16—and getting into and out of those bars.
-Strathspey circles.
-Emphasis on hands—practice circles of different sizes.  
-Look after the hand in front of you.
-Footwork in circles.
-Transitions between one direction and another.
-Getting into and out of circles.

-Handing!
-Work on turns.
-Graceful arms—strong turns.
-Everyone work on the turns in bars 1-8.
